We arrived in Darwin about 5:30 PM, got a bus to town, settled in. We're on Mitchell Street, one of the main streets in the central business district (CBD), such as it is. The big tall buildings seem to mostly be residences or hotels - everything else seems quite small.
And it's warm, and humid - so different from the south, in weather as well as how green it is here!
Anyway, we're tired after some 50+ hours on the train - so I'll do a blog about the trip tomorrow, with photos.
Just wanted to let everyone know that we're here, safe and sound.
And haven't seen a crocodile yet.
